This means the school is intentionally designed — from staffing and routines to curriculum and environment — to support emotional regulation, strong relationships, and high‑quality learning.
We provide a calm, predictable environment where students feel safe, known, and capable, while maintaining ambition and high expectations for progress from each student’s starting point.

Hatfield Wick School: Whitelands Campus is a specialist school for children and young people whose learning and progress have been disrupted by unmet emotional, social, or neurodevelopmental needs.
Many of our students are neurodivergent, experience anxiety or trauma, or have faced significant disruption to their education. Some arrive academically behind their peers; others have lost confidence in learning altogether. What they share is potential and the need for a school designed differently.

We provide a safe, therapeutic, and ambitious environment where emotional regulation, strong relationships, and learning are given equal priority, so every child has the chance to re-engage and succeed.

Whitelands Campus provides a calm, spacious environment designed to support learning, regulation, and wellbeing. Our setting combines flexible indoor spaces with outdoor areas that allow young people to feel settled, safe, and ready to learn.
The campus is accessible from across the local area, with organised transport routes supporting students travelling from surrounding towns and communities. Where required, transport arrangements are planned in partnership with families and local authorities to ensure consistency and reliability.
